My writing career was born when I was six and bashing away on my mom’s red typewriter. Yes, we only had typewriters in the house back then…I’M OLD.

Happy belated New Year! Speaking of belated, the Wednesday and Friday comic from last week are finally up. Hit up that back button to check ‘em out! Monday’s will be up later today!
…less late comics!
Yeah, unfortunately due to Holiday craziness the Wednesday comic will be late, but you’ll get 2 new comics on Friday! See ya then and Happy New Year!
So, I’ve started writing stuff for GameSpy! This is kinda a big deal (well to me at least) since the conglomeration of IGN/GameSpy (IGN is another gaming site which owns GameSpy) is the biggest gaming site on the web. They probably pull in approximately 100-times more traffic than the last gaming site I worked for. I’ll mostly be writing funny stuff for ‘em, as opposed to the straight reviews I was doing before…check out the first article…
Also, to appease the gamers who will be coming over to the comic due to the link at the bottom of my GameSpy articles, I’m now making this a gaming comic. Most comics will now consist of Baker playing an Xbox 360 he plugs into a tree, making witty comments about the latest game releases. Expect it to be more awesome than a 6-pack of Mountain Dew Gamer’s Fuel.
So I was in Chicago for the weekend and I bet you guys will never ever guess what I did, so I’ll just tell you…
…I went to THE ZOO. Bet you didn’t see that one coming.
Anyways, the Lincoln Park zoo was quite a nice experience (and free ta boot). Of the zoos I’ve been to, it probably provided the nicest environment for the human animals visiting. A lot of zoos can be pretty exhausting slogs; spread out, hot, with a lot of concrete and not much greenery outside of the animal enclosures, but the Lincoln Park zoo was much easier on the senses and feet.
The collection of animals was fairly impressive too, although a few of them were in somewhat small or outdated enclosures, a result of the zoo’s age and being confined in the middle of the city. Their African Apes section was pretty fantastic though. Don’t be surprised if Ernest makes a return soon, because gorillas are pretty freakin’ awesome guys. Just sayin’. They also had African Wild Dogs there, which I’d wanted to see ever since I was a kid poring over my tattered old Encyclopaedia of Mammals.
So yeah, if you’re ever in the Chicago area check out the Lincoln Park zoo. That’s your Zoology Super Fun Club assignment of the week.
